This project demonstrates how to emboss on vellum, which isn't much different than embossing on cardstock. Embossing is a great way to make your projects look elegant and polished. You'll notice the instructions direct you to use the VersaMark pad for embossing. The VersaMark pad works much better than special embossing ink pads, since it is more sticky and holds the powder in place better. If you're going to emboss, you're going to need a VersaMark.

Directions:
Take the "less detailed" stamp and ink it with the light green and light yellow stamp pads. Stamp a row of roses along the piece of white cardstock. Next take the "more detailed" stamp and ink it with the dark green and dark yellow stamp pads. Stamp over the images you just stamped.
Place the vellum over the white cardstock lining it up evenly. Ink the "curly" stamp with the VersaMark ink pad. Carefully stamp the vellum as if you are stamping over the images on the white cardstock.
Sprinkle the embossing powder over the vellum, making sure all of the stamped images have powder sticking to them. Tap off the excess powder.
Use the embossing gun to melt down the powder until it is smooth. Be careful not to overheat, which will burn the vellum or cause the embossing powder to bubble.
Mount the white cardstock onto the green cardstock.
Fold the yellow cardstock in half so it measure 5½" x 4¼".
Take the "less detailed" stamp and ink it with the VersaMark. Stamp all over one side of the yellow cardstock.
Mount the green cardstock with the roses onto the yellow cardstock, near the top.
Take the vellum and line it up so the row of embossed roses lines up with the row of stamped roses. Mount the vellum to the card using the eyelets.
Use the square punch to punch out a square piece of vellum. Take your "Thank You" stamp and ink it with the VersaMark pad. Stamp the vellum. Sprinkle embossing powder over it and use the heat gun to melt the powder.
Mount the square vellum in the bottom right hand corner of the card.
Take the scrap piece of green cardstock and use the square punch to punch out the center. Trim down the edges to make a nice little frame. Mount the frame onto the yellow cardstock so it frames the vellum "Thank You" square.
Using a scrap piece of white cardstock, stamp the "less detailed" stamp using the light yellow and light green stamp pads. Stamp the "more detailed" stamp using the dark yellow and dark green stamp pads on top of the first image. Make sure to let dry. Ink the "curly" stamp with the VersaMark and stamp on top of the image. Sprinkle with embossing powder and use the embossing gun to melt the powder.
Cut out the rose.
Take the organdy ribbon and tie a bow. Cut the loops of the bow in half, so the "bow" now has 6 arms. Mount the "bow" onto the upper left hand corner of the framed "Thank You."
Take the rose you cut out and mount it in the center of the "bow."
