Dawn Jack is this month's featured artist! Dawn sent in her cards for the October card swap a little early and one in particular stood out: a fruit snack wrapper! This project is really easy to do and is a great idea for moms that want to put an extra surprise in their child's lunch.
Materials:
1 piece of orange cardstock measuring 10" x 3"
1 piece of yellow cardstock measuring 5 ¼" x 2 ¾"
1 piece of white cardstock measuring 5" x 2 ½'"
1 scratch piece of orange card stock
pumpkin stamp
candy corn stamp
orange marker
green marker
yellow stamp pad
VersaMark
sponge
2 eyelets
raffia
glue
hole punch
package of fruit snacks
Directions:
Fold the orange cardstock in half so it measures 5 ½" x 3"
Stamp the candy corn all over the orange cardstock using the VersaMark
Trim off the corners of the orange cardstock to make it more like a "tag"
Trim off the top corners of the yellow cardstock so it matches the orange cardstock. Make sure it fits nicely onto the orange cardstock
Stamp the pumpkins onto the white cardstock
Color in the pumpkins using the markers
Sponge on some yellow ink over the words
Trim off the top corners of the white cardstock so it fits nicely inside the yellow cardstock
Tear off the bottom edge of the yellow cardstock
Tear off the bottom edge of the white cardstock
Mount the white cardstock onto the yellow cardstock
Mount the yellow cardstock onto the orange cardstock
Mount the orange scrap onto the top of the tag
With the orange cardstock folded, punch a hole at the top so it goes through all of the layers
Mount an eyelet on each side of the orange cardstock. You will mount two of them. Make sure the top of the eyelets face outward.
Wrap the orange cardstock around the package of fruit snacks
Thread the raffia through both eyelets and tie off with a bow
