Valentine's Notebook

These little notebooks are easy to make and look very impressive. Your friends will think you spent hours making them.

Materials:

• 1 - 3" x 5" notepad - Staples brand Glue-Top Scratch pad was used
• Red cardstock measuring 3" x 11"
• Pink cardstock measuring 2" x 4"
• White cardstock, measuring 1 ½" x 3 ½"
• Red stamp pad
• Pink stamp pad
• Pink organdy ribbon
• Tacky Glue
• Paper cutter with scoring blade
• Mini heart clothes pin - The shown clothespin is made by Card Connection
• Valentine's Day stamps

1. Take the red cardstock and score it at 5" (the length of the notepad). Measure the thickness of the notepad and score the cardstock accordingly. For example, if the width is 3/8" then score at 5 3/8". Next measure down an additional 5" and cut off the excess. Fold at the score marks and you should have a perfect wrapper for your notebook.
2. Take the glue and carefully apply it to the back of the notebook (the cardboard side). Take the red cardstock and mount the notebook so the cardstock wraps around the notebook. Apply small amounts of glue to the top of the notebook to get the cardstock to adhere to the top. The cardstock will be attached to the back and top of the notebook.
3. Using the stamps and red and pink stamp pads, stamp the white cardstock until there is minimal white space left. It should have a collage effect.
4. Mount the white cardstock to the pink cardstock.
5. Take a small piece of organdy ribbon and tie it around the pink cardstock.
6. Mount the pink cardstock to the front of the notebook.
7. Attach the clothespin to the center of the ribbon.
