Gift Card Holder

This gift card holder is the perfect size for holding a gift card, money, or a gift certificate. It is simple to make and is so cute!

Materials

• 1 invitation sized envelope
• 1 piece of pink cardstock measuring 4 ¾" x 3 ¼"
• 1 piece of white cardstock measuring 3 ½" x 2"
• 1 piece of pink cardstock measuring 3 ¾" x 2 ¼
• 1 scrap piece of green cardstock
• 1 scrap piece of pink cardstock
• background stamp
• Birthday cake stamp
• "for you" stamp
• Black stamp pad
• Pink stamp pad
• markers
• ribbon
• silver cording
• 1/16" hole punch
• scissors
• MonoAdhesive

Directions

1. Fold the envelope in half so the crease is in the middle of the flap and the flap is on the inside.
2. Use the scissors to cut the flap in half on the fold crease. Cut down to the envelope, but do not cut the actual envelope.
3. Seal the left side of the flap shut. The right side should still be open; this will act as the pocket to hold the gift card.
4. The envelope should now open like a book. Decorate the "front cover" with the background stamp using the pink ink.
5. Mount the envelope onto the larger piece of pink cardstock.
6. Stamp the cake in black onto the white cardstock and color it in using the markers.
7. Mount the cake onto the smaller piece of pink cardstock and then mount that onto the front of the envelope.
8. Stamp "for you" onto the pink scrap of cardstock. Cut it out into the shape of a tag.
9. Mount the tag onto the green cardstock and cut out to fit the tag.
10. Punch a hole into the tag and thread through the silver cording to make a little tail. Mount onto the Birthday cake.
11. Place your gift inside the envelope in the pocket.
12. Wrap the ribbon around the entire thing to hold it closed. Mount the birthday cake on top.
