1 - scratch piece of white cardstock large enough to stamp the butterfly onto
large music stamp (a small stamp, repeated many times will work)
butterfly stamp
orange ink
black ink
orange watercolor pencil
blender pen
glue stick
Directions:
Fold the orange cardstock in half to make a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ card.
Take the music stamp, ink it in orange and stamp onto the large piece of whi
te cardstock until it is covered with music.
Ink the butterfly stamp with black ink. Stamp 2 - 3 times over the musical score.
Stamp the butterfly on the scratch piece of white cardstock. Color in using the watercolor pencil.
Wipe the blender pen over the areas of butterfly you just colored in. This will smooth the pencil and make the butterfly look more polished.
Cut out the butterfly.
Fold the wings of the butterfly where they meet the body, so the wings tilt up.
Using the gluestick, mount the white cardstock to the orange card.
Mount the butterly to the card, only glueing the body of the butterfly down. Do NOT glue down the wings since the butterfly should look 3-dimensional.
You're done!
Tip: Personalize this card for any occasion. Take a small stamp set of letters and stamp some words on the musical score. I stamped the word "Mother" for Mother's Day and my mother-in-law loved it!
